## On-Chain Points: A Game-Changer [#on-chain-points-a-game-changer]

Unlike traditional points systems, vPoints are SPL tokens, fully integrated on-chain for transparency and usability.

## Earning Points [#earning-points]

During this season, points could be earned through the community, supported DeFi integrations and veV holdings ([locked $V](/vault-points/locking-v)).

The announced emissions for this season were allocated as follows:

vPTS5 holders had an exercise window for minting $V from August 31st, 2026 to September 14th, 2026.

* Strike: 0.000720 vSOL
* Total $V available: 3,000,000 + remaining points from last season
* Exercise cost per $V: 0.000720 vSOL, plus applicable transaction fees. The spot price minus the strike price is the potential discount, not the exercise cost.
