💵How-To: Buying Gauge Votes

Learn how to purchase votes for your validator on Votex's vote markets.

1. Visit https://votex.so/

1. Click on the, "Launch App," button. You will come to the DAOs page where you will be able to purchase votes for The Vault in the gauge program. You can find that link here https://votex.so/daos

1. Click on, "BUY VOTES," on The Vault card. On this page you will be able to purchase votes for your validator. If you don't see your validator name on the first page, you can input the name in the search bar to find it quicker. At this stage you should connect your wallet and that page can be found here https://votex.so/daos/vault/buy-votes

1. Once you find your validator name you can click on the, "BUY VOTES," button. It will take you to the next page where you can decide how much USDC you wish to spend.

1. After the transaction you will be able to see how many votes you have purchased for your validator here https://votex.so/daos/vault/buy-votes

1. You have successfully made your vote purchase. Every week the new epoch begins on Sunday, but for Votex the market will open on Tuesday. From the day you purchase until Sunday that is considered an epoch within The Vault's gauges. All votes you purchase will take effect within the next week of your purchase for the 7-day duration. For best results budget for three weeks as it does take time for the stake to shift to each validator, varying by market conditions and actions by others within the stakepool.
