๐ŸŽ How to claim Community Pool rewards

Record each reward-epoch snapshot and manually claim your available VLP rewards.

Claim rewards from the Community Pool through My delegation using the wallet that delegated its veV. Each reward epoch needs your snapshot before it is finalized, and paid invoices must fund the rewards.

Understand the claim requirements

A claim needs three things: your recorded snapshot for that epoch, rewards funded by paid validator invoices, and a finalized reward epoch. The website shows the state of each epoch (Figure 10.8).

Record or refresh a snapshot while the epoch is open. A finalized, funded epoch with a snapshot can be claimed; a finalized epoch without a snapshot cannot include you.

Figure 10.8: Snapshot and claim states

A finalized reward epoch without your snapshot cannot include you in its rewards. Record each open epoch in time, even if you already delegated to the pool.

Record a snapshot and claim VLP

Connect your delegated wallet

Open My delegation and select Connect Wallet. Use the same wallet that delegated to the pool (Figure 10.9).

Find the open reward epoch

Open Your pool epochs. If an open epoch has no snapshot for your wallet, choose Snapshot now, review the transaction and approve it in your wallet. Confirm that the epoch now shows a recorded snapshot.

Refresh an open snapshot when needed

If you change your lock or voting power while the epoch is open, review the recorded value. Use Refresh snapshot when available and appropriate, then confirm the updated snapshot. Once the epoch is finalized, you cannot add a missing snapshot for it.

Wait for funding and finalization

A pending epoch is not yet ready for claiming. Rewards are funded as validators pay their invoices; an epoch with no settled invoice pays no reward. Wait until the epoch is finalized and a positive claimable amount is shown.

Claim your VLP

Select Claim VLP for an available epoch. Review and approve the transaction in your wallet. Keep enough SOL for the transaction fee. After confirmation, check the claimed amount and your wallet's VLP balance.

Allow approximately two weeks for the first reward

Your first reward can take up to approximately two weeks: up to one week for the next voting epoch, then up to three Solana epochs for validators to pay, roughly another week. This is an approximate timeline, not a fixed payment date. A missed snapshot, an unfunded epoch or pending finalization can prevent a claim.

Understand your reward amount

Your share is proportional to your recorded veV divided by the total recorded power for that reward epoch. The 75% validator fee from Community Pool earnings funds the epoch; the validator retains 25%. Previously claimed amounts are deducted from what remains available to claim.

Rewards are paid in VLP, not additional locked $V. Claiming does not change your lock expiry or automatically compound rewards. See How to deposit and withdraw from the Unstake Pool for VLP mechanics.

Check a missing claim

If Claim VLP is unavailable, check the epoch's snapshot, pending or finalized status, funded rewards and already-claimed amount. Compare it with Pool status, then see the Community Pool FAQs.

At launch, each available reward is claimed manually through the website. Batch claiming, automatic claims and claim-and-compound are possible later additions.
